Evangelism Explosion (EE) Report for Tuesday, September 16, 2008 -- Very Exciting News!!

Good afternoon everyone!  Dot Gamblin has asked me to take over doing the weekly EE Report for this semester as she will be out several times, although when she is available, she will be with us.  This is the first report for the Fall Semester, so let me get started, as I have a lot to report!!

Our Scripture for this week is Deuteronomy 6:4-9.  As it is somewhat lengthy, I will not include the text of it here.  Instead, I trust that if you are so inclined, you will look it up for yourself.

Activity:

One team went to Baptist Hospital last night and they met Jeneva, Christina, Joe & Dorothy.  The Gospel was presented to each of them.  Christina has something in her life that she is not willing to give up, but Jeneva, Joe and Dorothy all accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

Another team went out doing questionnaires and surveys.  They met 3 brothers and 2 friends of theirs, Keith, 2 guys both named Jamal, Brandon and Todd.  The Gospel was presented and all 5 of these young guys - ages 14 to 18 - accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Another team weent out to visit with Stacy, who is a member of the CLC.  The Gospel was presented and Stacy accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.  They also spoke with her husband Steve.  He was already a Christian.

The next team went out to UMC's Intensive Care area.  There they spoke with Cynthia, Walter, Lucille, Stella and Letha.  The Gospel was presented and all 5 accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Another team went to see Tomieka, who is a member of the CLC.  They said that she was their divine appointment for the evening as she wanted to know more about having a personal relationship with Jesus.  The Gospel was presented and she was ready and prayed to accept Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.

The next team met Morgan.  The diagnostic questions were asked and they found that he was already a Christian.

Another team met Chris in returning a visit he made to our Worship service earlier in the year.  As it turned out, he is already a Christian, which they discovered after asking the diagnostic questions.

Anther team went out doing surveys and met Ethel.  The Gospel was presented to her, but she was not ready to accept Jesus at that time.

Then another team went out and met Clifton.  The Gospel presentation was made and Clifton was ready.  He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior.

The next team went out to visit with Brad, who is a member of the CLC.  The Gospel presentation was made and Brad was ready.  He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior.

Another team found Maggie as a result of doing surveys.  The Gospel presentation was made and Maggie accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior.

Then another team went out to MetroCenter Mall and visited out in the food court and the barber shop.  They met Annette, Jerome, Eric, Amber, Quinterrius, Demontrae, Kaisha and Sam.  The Gospel was presented to all 8 of these men and women and all 8 of them prayed to receive Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

The Statistics:

Number of new trainees:               19
